1. Open Access Policy

Sustainable Education and Digital Transformation (SEDT) is published as an open-access journal, with the aim of ensuring that scholarly research in the fields of sustainable education and digital transformation is freely accessible to the global academic community.

All articles published in SEDT are made available online without subscription fees or access restrictions. Readers are permitted to read, download, copy, distribute, and use published content in accordance with the applicable licensing terms, provided that proper attribution is given to the original work.

The journal’s open-access model is intended to support transparency, academic exchange, and equitable access to research outcomes.

2. Copyright Ownership

Authors publishing in SEDT retain the copyright to their work.

6. Article Processing Charges (APC)

If applicable, any APC is requested only after a manuscript has successfully completed the peer-review process and has been formally accepted for publication.

The payment of publication fees has no influence on the peer-review process, editorial evaluation, or publication decision. Editorial decisions are based solely on academic quality, originality, and relevance.

7. Changes to This Policy

SEDT reserves the right to review and update this Open Access, Copyright, and Licensing Policy in line with evolving standards in scholarly publishing and open-access practices.

Any changes to the policy will be clearly communicated on the journal’s website.

Sustainable Education and Digital Transformation (SEDT) is a gold open-access journal, which means that all content is freely available without charge to the user or their institution.

1. Immediate Free Access

In accordance with the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI), SEDT provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles, or use them for any other lawful purpose, without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author.

2. Licensing (Creative Commons)

All articles published in SEDT are licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) License.

  • Permitted Use: Under this license, others can distribute, remix, tweak, and build upon the work, even for commercial purposes, provided appropriate credit is given to the original author(s).

  • This ensures maximum dissemination and use of licensed materials.

3. Copyright and Permissions

Authors retain the copyright and full publishing rights without restrictions. By publishing in SEDT, authors grant the journal a non-exclusive license to publish the article and identify itself as the original publisher.

 

 

4. Self-Archiving Policy (Green Open Access)

SEDT encourages authors to archive the Publisher's Version (Version of Record) of their articles in institutional or thematic repositories (e.g., ResearchGate, Academia.edu, or university archives) immediately after publication, provided that a link to the original source and the DOI number are included.

 

 

5. Publication Fees (APC)

  • No Fees: SEDT does not charge authors any article processing charges (APCs) or submission fees.
